Failure and success are such close cousins that in our eagerness to gain success we often close our eyes from fear, failure and struggle. But what if you could change your perception about fear and instead of running away from it embrace it, cherish it and talk to it?
What is Goal Setting:
The definition of goal setting is termed as the process of identifying something that you want to accomplish and establishing measurable goals and timelines.
Goal setting is the process of living with intention and moving forward in the direction of the life we want to live.
Why Do We Need Goals?
Goals keep us from going crazy in our current reality. As long as we have been alive humans beings have possessed the desire to grow, and become better. As we stand in one place, and look out over the landscape of our lives we are always seeking to get to the next mountain top. Goals are the oxygen to our dreams. Goal setting is the first step on the journey to climbing up that mountain and taking the land that belongs to you. If you show me a person without goals, I’ll show you a person without a successful future.
How Goal Setting Can Change Your Life:
Goal setting allows us to have concrete self-awareness about where we are, and how far along to where we’re going. OR if we no longer want what we once wanted, it helps us to make the changes we need to make. Knowing where you are on your journey and learning yourself, which is the essence of self-awareness, keeps you on the right path.
How to Set Goals You’ll Actually Accomplish:
This is the piece that matters most. You can set a million goals, but if you don’t take any action to them. It really doesn’t make much of a difference, does it? There are many aspects to goals setting, but for now we will give you the basics that will help you to get through your goal setting cheat sheet.
1. Decide Your Priorities & What You’d Like To Do/Change
Think of something you want to work toward. Make it something you’re interested in, and that you get excited about.
2. Write It Down
Use a journal to write down your priorities, your goals, and action steps to get there.
3. Tell Someone
